I was a regular shopper at the bee, that is until I found this article online from the Asbury Park Press, check it out
TheBee - Bay Head, New Jersey July 17, 2003 Section: B Page: 01 Store owner charged in sale of bogus bags A. SCOTT FERGUSON/TOMS RIVER BUREAU STAFF - Asbury Park Press BAY HEAD - The owner of a Lake Avenue store has been charged with selling knock-off designer handbags and accessories, police said yesterday. Kimberly Kiss-Morris, 40, who owns The Bee, was charged with one count of selling counterfeit merchandise after an investigator, hired by the Louis Vuitton Corporation, found several of the knock-off items in her store. Police were trying to retrace the route the counterfeit good traveled to get here. The goods, which bore the Louis Vuitton trademark, came from Canal Street in New York City. From there, they were given to a woman, whose name was not made public, and the woman took them to Morris' store, where they were sold, police Cpl. Geoffrey W. Barger said yesterday. The woman who acted as the go-between has not been charged. Police still were trying to determine how the counterfeit merchandise got to New York. Police would say only that the woman who brought the goods here lived in the area. The investigation started last Tuesday, when an investigator hired by the designer received a tip that store was selling counterfeit items. The investigator went to the store and purchased several of these handbags and other items, noting that the sales staff, "failed to state whether the items were genuine," Barger said. During the next week, the investigation continued with assistance from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Investigators bought several more items that also turned out to be counterfeit, Barger said. Genuine Louis Vuitton purses sell between $100 and $700, according to the designer's Web site. On Tuesday, police entered the store and confiscated 27 purses, wallets and other accessories. Morris was charged with the one count and later released after posting $7,500 bail. The charge of selling counterfeit merchandise is a fourth-degree crime and can be punished by a maximum 18-month prison term. "I'm not aware of another case like this we've handled before," Barger said. "It's a first for us." Morris' attorney, Edward J. Dimon of Toms River, said last night that his client had fully cooperated with police. Dimon described Morris as a well-respected businesswoman, a good mother and active member of the community. He added that the handbags and wallets were a small part of her store, which mainly sells upscale clothing. The store remained open yesterday. Dimon said that his law office would look into the source of the bags and other merchandise. Copyright (c) Asbury Park Press. All rights reserved. Thu 3/6/2008 3:25 PM This is an email I sent to the owner of "the bee" whom the comment article was posted. I sent this email after being phoned by her husband John Henry. I will post all subsequent email replies from the owner of the bee as well.: Thank you for the call today. It would seem there is some misunderstanding regarding thebeeonline.com as your former domain and the domain thebeeonline.info. Yes I was involved with thebeeonline.com website and published content years ago to that domain on behalf of Kim Morris. However we discontinued our relationship several years ago when Kim Morris decided to no longer pursue the internet and left an unpaid invoice with Sure Solutions. Since Kim Morris decided not pay for the work provided to her at her request Sure Solutions stopped supporting, hosting or providing any services to Kim Morris regarding the domain thebeeonline.com. We have not published any content to the domain thebeeonline.com since that time. I understand that the domain thebeeonline.com was allowed to expire and in fact there is a new owner of the domain thebeeonline.com based in Tortola. Sure Solutions has no access to the former domain thebeeonline.com and has no method or interest in publishing anything to that domain. If you’re interested in securing your former domain you should contact a webmaster familiar with domain transfers or hire an agent to work through the repurchasing process. I do not feel that Sure Solution would want to provide you with this service as you currently have an unpaid invoice for prior services rendered. You may have confused your former domain thebeeonline.com with the domain which I personally own thebeeonline.info. This is an information domain which operates Google adsence marketing and a web blog where anyone can post articles and comments regarding thebeeonline. I have the domain available for sale in the hope that I can recover some of the debt you left unpaid from our prior relationship. I will be soliciting bids from other potential candidates for the website domain. I currently have several local retailers who have expressed in interest in purchasing the domain from me including another “Lilly Pulitzer” retailer who would like to use the site to direct traffic to their website and retail store. In addition I have a bee keeper who has offered a decent fee plus business if we choose to sell to them so they can publish beekeeper information. You are welcome to bid on the domain for purchase. However I would not accept a bid from you until you have made good on any open invoices from the previous relationship. You mentioned in your email that I have slandered you. I have not and will not slander you. I have no interest in spreading untruth about you. I posted two blog entries in the website. First I posted an entry on Lilly Pulitzer to attract people who are interested in Lilly Pulitzer so that we can sell the ads that you see displayed on the left side of the web site. I also posted a “for sale” entry because I want to make some money selling the domain if possible. There may be comments made to any entry I post on the website, however I did not post any comments, comments are posted by any interested third party. There have been readers who posted comments on the website including one from a woman in Bayhead who published the Asbury Park Press Story regarding your arrest. Seeing how the story is truthful and its serves the public interest that it be available to read on the internet, I will not remove the comment posting made by the women in Bayhead. I have verified that the article written by the Asbury Park Press is in fact authentic and was written and published as the person applied it into the comment. I would encourage you to post your own comment on the website as this is available to you as well as anyone else who visit the website thebeeonline.info. Kim you’re sending me emails and taking time to look into websites which I own. Once again asking me to “do things” for you. You should take a moment to live up to your personal responsibilities and pay for the services that were provided to you in the past before you go asking me for additional assistance. As well you get no benefit from having your husband call me with his belligerent attitude and threatening tone. I don’t respond to threats. The outstanding invoice is a business arrangement between you and me, not your husband. I would instruct you to not have John Henry call my office again on this matter. Considering that the situation before you is created by your own miss deeds you should take time to reflect on your past deeds and make the most of this opportunity to make right what you have wronged in the past. That would be good for your karma. Enjoy, Brian Johnson

Tuesday, January 1. 2008Lilly Pulitzer New Jersey
Lilly Pulitzer's business was a hit, but squeezing oranges, lemons, limes, and pink grapefruit made a mess of her clothes. Realizing that she needed a juice stand uniform, Lilly asked her dressmaker to design a dress that would camouflage the stains. The result? A comfortable sleeveless shift made of bright, colorful printed cotton - pink, green, yellow and orange. The dress even had custom dressmaker details like lining and lace seam bindings. It was perfect for the job and became Lilly's first Classic Shift. Although her customers liked Lilly's juice, they loved her dress. When people began to ask if they could buy the dress, Lilly had a few more made up to sell in the stand. Soon Lilly was selling more dresses than juice, so she decided to stop squeezing and to focus on designing and selling her "Lillys." Before long, Jackie Kennedy, an old school chum, began wearing Lillys and as First Lady was featured in Life Magazine wearing a Classic Shift. Then, of course, everyone wanted one and Lilly Pulitzer® became a fashion sensation. Comments
